01 — My Story

40 years on the mat.

I started training over 40 years ago. I'm 62 now, and I'm still on the mat.

Karate · Yoga · Jiu-Jitsu · Muay Thai · MMA

Every round taught me something about fear, and about letting go of my beliefs. ENFIGHTEN is what the fight has taught me over the years.

I had many inspirations: people still training late in life. Seeing them made it real. Others made it possible for me. Hopefully I can make it possible for you.

02 — The Idea

Enlighten through the fight.

The martial arts are the method. So is yoga. So is any real struggle. But I believe in the fight and the sweat.

01

The opponent is me

Every fight I've had on the mat was really with myself. Fear. Ego. The urge to quit.

02

The fight is the teacher

I didn't learn calm by sitting still. I learned it taking hits and staying in the round.

03

Still going

62 and still learning. The journey doesn't end, and that's the reward.

“He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster.”
— Friedrich Nietzsche
03 — The Work

Still in the fight.

04 — Mentoring

Become more of yourself.

I don't train people. I help them fight their own fight.

  • Get stronger, inside and out
  • Understand yourself better
  • Be more of who you are
  • Improve in whatever area you're working on

Others made it possible for me. If you're stuck, reach out and tell me where. We'll start there.

“And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.”
